In September 2012 we were tasked with creating a multimedia project, completely on our own. It was to be based on one broad topic, encompassing multiple different media outputs. My project is a development journalism project on the youth care centre Home of Joy in Joza Township in Grahamstown. It includes a film piece, a photojournalism profile, a soundslide, a radio show and two packages, two writing pieces and a magazine. Each output takes a slightly different angle, but all relate to Home of Joy. It is the culmination of a year's work and skills development.
